Welcome to the website of Zebra Crossing Traveler’s Lodge (“we”, “our”, or “us”). By accessing or using this website (the “Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our Site.

• You must be at least 18 years old to make a booking or submit personal information through the Site.

• You agree not to use this Site for any unlawful purpose or in any way that may harm Zebra Crossing or its users.

• All bookings made through our website or third-party platforms are subject to availability and confirmation.

• Prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT unless stated otherwise.

• A deposit or full payment may be required to confirm your booking. Cancellation policies apply (see below).

• Guests may cancel or modify bookings according to the terms provided at the time of booking.

• No-shows or late cancellations may result in forfeiture of the deposit or full payment, depending on the cancellation window.

• Refunds, where applicable, will be processed using the original payment method.

• Standard Bookings (Direct or via Website)

  • Cancellation more than 14 days before arrival:
    ✅ Full refund of deposit or prepayment.

  • Cancellation 7-14 days before arrival:
    🔁 50% of the total booking will be charged.

  • Cancellation less than 7 days before arrival or no-show:
    ❌ 100% of the booking amount will be charged. No refund.

  • Early departures:
    ❌ No refund for unused nights once checked in.

• Group Bookings (6 guests or more)

  • Cancellation more than 14 days before arrival:
    ✅ Full refund of deposit.

  • Cancellation 7–14 days before arrival:
    🔁 50% of the booking total will be charged.

  • Cancellation less than 7 days before arrival or no-show:
    ❌ 100% charge. No refund.

• Non-Refundable Bookings

  • Bookings marked as "non-refundable" at time of purchase cannot be canceled or refunded under any circumstances, including no-shows or early departure.
     

• To cancel or change your booking:

  • Direct bookings: Email us at info@zebracrossingbackpackers.co.za

  • Third-party bookings: Please modify or cancel directly through the platform you used to book (e.g. Booking.com, Hostelworld, Airbnb)

• Guests are expected to respect staff, fellow travelers, and property.

• We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate a stay if a guest breaches house rules, including:

  • Late payments

  • Theft or vandalism

  • Disrespectful or aggressive behaviour

  • Disturbance to others

• All content on this Site (text, photos, design, etc.) is the property of Zebra Crossing or used under license.

• You may not copy, reproduce, or use any part of this website for commercial purposes without our written consent

• Our Site may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of these sites.

• Zebra Crossing will not be liable for any direct or indirect loss arising from use of this Site or your stay, unless caused by our gross negligence.

• We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will take effect once posted on this page.

• These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
